Work with me

Alison on Foot is a showcase for my writing about my travels both in Andalucia where I live, and further afield.

Alison on Foot started in 2022 after I walked the Camino Portugués from Porto to Santiago de Compostela and wanted to share my experience of walking nearly 200 miles over 14 days. Since then it’s grown to include a wealth of Camino inspired posts, plus walks and hikes elsewhere, as well as travel guides to some of my favourite places.

How can we work together?

Brand and business collaborations

Whether you’re a tourism board or other tourist provider, or perhaps have some great outdoor gear you’d like me to review, I offer a wide range of collaboration opportunities including:

  • brand ambassadorships
  • affiliate partnerships
  • sponsored posts
  • reviews – products, tours and activities etc
  • sidebar advertising space
  • hosting competitions/giveaways
  • social media promotions
  • press trips
  • freelance writing

Content writing

I can produce blogs, newsletters, and social media content for your business. All content is reader friendly and written in plain English, and online content is fully optimised for SEO. As well as writing about travel and tourism I have a professional background in HR and recruitment.

Proofreading and editing

I’ve worked on projects ranging from CVs, business documents, policies and procedures, websites, and books to ensure that you always make the right impression.

Features in the media

I also collaborate with other travel bloggers on a regular basis.

Readers’ comments

I love getting comments from readers of my blog. You can read some of my favourites below.

  • I’m leaving in late April to walk my fifth Camino. As it turns out, my planned route is exactly the same as the one in your blog – which I just discovered a few days ago. I always do a fair amount of planning, and your blog is one of the best I’ve ever run across. So thanks – I’m more excited than ever after reading about your experience. Great job!
  • I am using your Camino Portugués series as a guide in planning for my own walk which is going to be same time of year next year and my planned route is the same as well. I have locked in your route (exactly) and booked the airfare. So, that’s it I am actually going!!
  • We leave Porto in May. We had planned on doing the Spiritual Variant and this was so informative.
  • I read your blog posts as I decided which route to plan out of Porto. Thank you for helping me decide!!
